From the perspective of all there is and has been, our individual lives are as the flashes of fireflies on a summer’s evening. From such a perspective, that one may be a bit longer or shorter, a bit brighter or dimmer than another, is of little note. Yet, for the fireflies themselves, whose brief lives and society are defined by their alternating flashes in the night, such variations doubtless seem important. So it is with us, and we can't help but mourn an early passing.

Winslow Drummond - Eulogy
I have often question my own humanity, as it seems that I am frequently without the level of emotion I see in others. On the other hand I have often congratulated myself on being logical in most things. However, I have come to realize that it is all a ruse on myself. It is more what I want to be than what I am and as a result, I fear that if I am going to get said what I wish to say I am going to have to read much of it.
